Ex-Claremont key position player whose first full season with the Magpies in 2002 was spent in the VFL. He played his first game at full-back at the start of 2003, and did not grab a regular spot until late in the year. He played in the 2003 Grand Final as a back-up ruckman, but for much of 2004 he could not crack it for a senior place. Walker did string together the last six games and played his part firstly in attack then as centre half-back.
