Collingwood has produced some of the greatest high-flyers football has ever known - from the game's first superstar forward in Dick Lee through to modern-day champion aerialists such as Jamie Elliott and Jeremy Howe. Along the way we've delivered some of the most spectacular grabs in footy history.

So feast your eyes on this cavalcade of Collingwood speccies. Click on the images to see full-size versions, and to open up a slideshow!

As you're looking through, take the time to marvel at the skill of the photgraphers who captured these magic moments. We've scoured all kinds of sources to find these pics: most of the older ones have come from old (and sometimes obsolete) newspapers like The Argus, The Sun, The Sporting Globe, The Herald, The Age, Sunday Press, Sunday Observer, The Australasian, Punch, Table Talk, The Leader and Inside Football. Others have appeared in Collingwood Annual Reports and other Club publications. In most of those instances we don't know who took the photos.

We've also grabbed many from scrapbooks, players' own collections and social media posts, where again it's not always possible to discern the name of the original snapper. More recent ones have come from AFL Media and other media sources such as The Herald Sun and The Age. Our longer-term aim is to provide the name of the photographer with as many entries as we can. If you're a photographer and you'd like your acknowledgement added, or if you don't want your photo to appear, please contact us at [email protected]

In the meantime, if you have any other photos of great Magpie marks that you'd like to see included here, just email us at the above address.
