This provides a quick, season-by-season snapshot of the Club's finishing position, coach, captain, Copeland Trophy winner and leading goalkicker.
It's worth noting that Collingwood did not have an official coach for the first 12 seasons of its existence, as the captain generally performed the duties that would later become associated with coaching (training, making positional moves, speaking at game breaks etc). It's further worth noting that there was no 'best player' trophy awarded until The Copeland Trophy was introduced in 1927.
