View the complete list of Collingwood players and senior coaches to receive selection in the Teams of the Year (known since 1991 as the All-Australian team).

Sporting Life magazine was the brainchild behind the first All-Australian concept, assembling an expert panel to of experts naming a squad from all footballing states between 1947 and 1955.

At the end of the 1953 Australian Football Carnival, the first official All-Australian team was selected from the best-performed players.

This continued after each series until the 1988 Bicentenary Carnival. In 1982, the first VFL Team of the Year was chosen by Victorian selectors before it evolved into the AFL Team of the Year in 1990 (reflecting the shift from the VFL to the AFL) and finally the All-Australian team in 1991.
