It was great to see 1958 Magpies Brian Gray, Brian Beers and Keith Burns catch up again at the Collingwood Museum recently.

Gray's family brought him up to the Club's HQ as a birthday present, just days after the former winger turned 88. And we were able to surprise him with visits from two of his former teammates - and also some photos with the 1958 Premiership Cup, and in front of his locker.

Gray holds a rare place in Collingwood's history, as one of only four Magpies who played in the exhibition match of Australian football played at the 1956 Olympics (Ken Turner, Lloyd Williams and Ray Gabelich were the others).

He was still just a youngster when he played in the 1958 Grand Final alongside Beers, and with Burns part of the overall squad. The three cracked jokes and shared memories as if it was yesterday during their visit to the Museum. Gray and Beers have remained close ever since their playing days and still speak regularly, but Gray doesn't get up from the Peninsula as often as he used to (he was best man at Beers' wedding).

It's always great to see our former Magpies in the Museum - and we hope to welcome more of our Past Players in the future.
